Board Vacancy - Trustee Area 4
South Bay Union School District is seeking applications from qualified and interested residents to serve as a member of the Governing Board to fill the balance of a term in Trustee Area 4 that expires in December 2024. This seat will be on the ballot of the November 5, 2024, General Election.
The vacancy occurred due to the resignation of Board Member Melanie Ellsworth on April 10, 2024. The Board voted on May 1, 2024, to fill the vacancy with an appointment.
The Board will make the appointment immediately after interviews are conducted at a Special Board Meeting on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 4:30 PM in Buress Auditorium (601 Elm Avenue in Imperial Beach).

Any person is eligible to be a member of the Governing Board, without further qualifications, if he/she is 18 years of age or older, a citizen of California, a resident of Trustee Area 4 of the school district, a registered voter, and not legally disqualified from holding civil office.
